In-Queer-Y

Haydens Ferry Review presents our Spring 2024 Web Issue In-Queer-Y. This web issue drew inspiration from the words of the renowned author and activist, bell hooks: "queer as not being about who you're having sex with - that can be a dimension of it - but queer as being about the self that is at odds with everything around it and has to invent and create and find a place to speak and to thrive and to live." In the spirit of creating space, exploring boundaries, and challenging expectations, the work of the featured writers and artists in this issue celebrates the complexities of queerness through creative expression. Their stories and art are reflections, and creative interpretations of what it means to engage with queerness in today's world, and of what it means to queer the world itself.
